The Meco DIT 954 Digital Insulation Tester is an advanced and reliable electrical testing instrument designed for professional insulation resistance measurement and preventive maintenance applications. It helps electrical engineers and technicians evaluate insulation conditions, identify insulation deterioration, and prevent electrical failures in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
The tester provides three selectable DC insulation test voltages – 1000V, 2500V, and 5000V, allowing testing of a wide range of electrical equipment. It measures insulation resistance from 0.1 MΩ up to 200 GΩ, making it suitable for high-voltage equipment inspection and critical maintenance operations.

The DIT 954 offers single-person push-button operation with range selection and auto-range insulation testing, allowing technicians to perform tests quickly and efficiently. The Data Hold function helps record readings during inspection and maintenance work.
This model also provides additional electrical testing functions including AC voltage measurement up to 600V AC, phase sequence testing between phase-to-phase voltage, and phase status indication with LED and beep facility. These features make it a versatile tool for electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
The instrument includes an inbuilt protection circuit to prevent damage from reverse voltages and is designed according to IS 10656-1983, IEC/EN 61010-1 & 61010-31 safety standards, and IEC 61326-1 Class B EMC standards. The Meco DIT 954 operates using eight 1.5V AA batteries with AC adaptor support, making it suitable for both field testing and workshop applications.
